Our successful Day with Jay Kinghorn, Photoshop expert will be back with lots more for us to learn, including building an efficient workflow, options for importing from CF cards, creating an image library, image processing, building actions and droplets, archiving, storage and printing.

Morning:

Communicating Visually: Great photography has always required on to understand and compensate for the differences between the way the eye and the camera see the world. Digital tools and techniques make it easier to achieve closer parity between the two. First we'll look at the challenges we face as photographers, then I'll demonstrate how you can use Photoshop to add shape, contrast and brilliance to your digital photos. (3 hours)

Communicating Visually:

- Our two visual systems

- Maintaining brightness range and overcoming tonal compression

- Exaggerating perspective and depth

- Correcting, enhancing and manipulating color

Afternoon:

Building an efficient, effective workflow: After reviewing the steps needed to correct a single image, we look at the steps and procedures needed to correct hundreds, or even thousands of images. From the most efficient method of downloading your CF cards, to bomb-proof storage and archiving, to making inkjet prints that last, you'll discover the most effective methods of streamlining your digital workflow. (3 hours)
