D2 Workshop - Sept 13-14

Spend two full days in beautiful Dillon Colorado, photographing spectacular scenery, wild flowers, early Fall colors, mountains & sailboats. Then spend time in a classroom environment critiquing your work and learning Photoshop tips and techniques that will improve your photography and skills with Photoshop. This workshop is designed for advanced amateur photographers that want to take their digital photography to the next level.

The workshop is limited to 12 participants and is taught by two professional photographer instructors with over 65 years combined experience in photography.

Member's Photo Exhibit Shows Effects of Climate Change on Glaciers

One of our most prominent members was recently interviewed on KCFR about a once-in-a-lifetime project he's shooting. James Balog is taking some of the first time-lapse pictures of melting glaciers. The Boulder-based photographer says it's the best way to see climate change in action. An exhibit of Balog's photographs are on display at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Orlando, Conrad selected for Center's Exhibition


ASMP Colorado members Jon Orlando and Gunnar Conrad were elected to the Center for Fine Art Photography's latest show, featuring work of ASMP exclusively. The contest resulted in 50 winning photographs selected by Kirsten Rian, an independent curator who has worked with some of the world's best photographers and coordinated more than 375 exhibitions and 65 books and catalogues.

ASMP Colorado Mourns Passing of Robert "Bob" Koropp

ASMP Colorado mourns the passing of Lifetime Member Robert "Bob" Koropp of Golden. Bob was a founding member of this chapter, a gifted and prolific artist, and an avid skier. Educated at Northwestern University and The Art Center in Los Angeles, Bob changed careers from chemistry to photography, and serviced Colorado's biggest corporations. In 1989, Koropp's award winning book "Denver: The City Rises" was completed, followed by "Space Camp: The Great Adventure for NASA Hopefuls" in 1992.
